The 1980s robot HERo-1, which we had always assumed had cocktail-robotic potential actually proves to have performed such duties assigned to him by his creator, youtube user wendylouwho:
"HERO the Robot, built in 1983 by the author, was programmable and tended bar at parties, just like R2-D2 in Star Wars! I did this for the humor when I was young & crazy (I no longer drink). Mostly, I was fascinated by having a full featured home robot."
We are pleased to once more be able to re-write the history of cocktail robotics and salute this particular plastic little pioneer!
